5 Candles

This is a darling little poem that the kids recited at the Christmas Program. Listen to little Allie at the end, who quickly tells the teacher that she messed it up! It's hysterical!

Our Little Performer

Yesterday was Hanna's Christmas Program at school. They sang several songs and recited a few verses from the Bible. We were so proud of Hanna as she stood in the front row, knew all the words and all of the signs! Of course, Mommy and Daddy, Gigi and Papa and Grammy were all there to cheer her on!

Before we left the house I snapped a couple of pictures. She's getting so big!!!!

Getting ready for Sofia

Hanna is very excited for her new sister to arrive! Yesterday we spent the morning organizing Sofia's closet and doing the last few things that needed to be done before she gets here. Hanna helped me pack the diaper bag and get the carseat ready. She was so excited that she got her baby and I taught her how to buckle the baby into the carseat. I also showed her where everything went in the diaper bag because I know she will be a huge help in grabbing things out of it when I need them. One of the things in the diaper bag are nursing pads. Of course she wanted to know what nursing pads were and I explained. After, I went about doing things around the house and Hanna continued to play with the carseat and diaper bag. Later in the day she walked into the room and pulled up her shirt and said, "Mommy, is this how they go?" She had taken the stickies off the backs of the nursing pads and stuck them to her nipples! Needless to say I about wet my pants laughing! I then explained to her that the sticky part sticks to the nursing bra. She walked out and came back a few minutes later with the nursing pads stuck to the inside of her shirt! Again, I laughed and laughed. She wore the nursing pads around for a good hour! Hmmmm, I wonder if I'm telling my four year old too much information?

Taking a Peek!!!

This is 31.5 weeks along. We had a four D ultrasound of little Sofia. Can you even believe it? We all think she looks just like Hanna did. The ultrasound was amazing. We watched her move, open her eyes and smile. The most amazing part of the entire ultrasound was when Hanna climbed up on the bed next to me and began to talk...that's when Sofia moved her head in the direction of Hanna's voice and opened her eyes up. She already knows and loves her big sister!!!

I know, I know, FINALLY!

Okay, so I think I'm being so smart by starting a blog....but geez, I can't keep it updated! When I realized that I hadn't updated it since August I thought I better get to it. Of course I'm blaming it all on the pregnancy. I'm in the middle of my 33rd week right now. I threw up every single thing I ate through 26 weeks and about half of everything I ate through the 30th week. I felt miserable and exhausted constantly. That's my excuse for being a bad updateder!

It's the beginning of December and would you believe that it's been in the mid 70's and beautiful! Hanna is doing well, getting very excited for Sofia's arrival. School has been great for her this year! Mike has stayed consistent with work. He's been an awesome Mr. Mom through this pregnancy! I don't know what I would do without him! He's been busy this past week putting up my Christmas tree, helping Hanna with hers and figuring out our outside light situation! I am feeling fat and uncomfortable but much better than before. Sofia is quite the little mover. She is still sideways in me and since she is now about 4 pounds her movements are so much bigger. Often times Mike and I get the giggles in bed watching my entire stomach move around!

Our Christmas decorations are up and everyone is getting excited for Christmas. My sister and her family fly in on the 18th and we will head upto Polar Express on the 21st. (My doctor is very "iffy" about me going so we will see....). Hanna really gets Christmas this year and has so much fun decorating and redecorating her 2 trees! She has a pink feather tree in her bedroom and a little three foot tree in her playroom. We will have everyone to our house this year....Mom and Dad, Gram, Farmor, the Specks and us! It's sure to be a great time!

We will not be sending out a Christmas card this year as the birth of Sofia will be just after Christmas. We will send out pictures and an annoucement upon her arrival!

The Nursery is Done!

As I entered my 33rd week of this pregnancy my mom finished up the nursery! You would not even believe what a beautiful job she did, not to mention that she made a ton of the stuff. Little Sofia is one lucky little girl to have such a talented Gigi!

Happy Thanksgiving

The three of us headed to my mom and dad's house for Thanksgiving with Gram and Farmor! While Farfar was here he and Barbro bought Hanna this darling golf bag and golf clubs so Papa took Hanna golfing on Thanksgiving day!

Zoo Lights

We went with our neighbors to Zoo Lights! The first stop...In-N-Out Burger for dinner!

Hanna's Thanksgiving Feast

Farfar and Barbro come to visit!

Farfar and Barbro came to visit us for a night with their new addition, Chloe. Hanna LOVED Chloe and didn't want to put her down! No, we are not getting her a dog! She's getting a baby sister!

Baby Shower

My girlfriend, Carolyn and my mom threw me the most beautiful baby shower! Hanna and I got all dressed up and had a wonderful time playing games, eating great food and opening gifts for Sofia! Hanna got a few things herself!

Halloween

Halloween Night we had a chili party with four different kinds of chili. We had our neighbors and friends and family over. After dinner the kids dressed up and we went trick-o-treating around the neighborhood!

The cousins are in town!!!!!

Brean, Kyle, Coleman and Caden were in town for a week over Halloween. The kids played in Gigi and Papa's pool every single day!
